I was hoping to run 30K tonight but ran out of energy after 25K. Simply put I had to stop then and limp back to the office. Sadly it was not one of my better runs. Yes its a dissapointment but thats my last long run before the 18th. I’m going to stick to 5 and 10K runs max for the next 11 days.

Just a quick point: fish oil i.e EPA and DHA seemingly not only reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease but also help keep joints supple, at least according to Runners World. It might be a better choice than some other supplements.

Just back from a 20K run in 1hr 56 mins. Burned a total of 1285 Calories. Not bad for a old codger like me !

I suffed up my leg on Sat by not streching first and then running. While its getting better slowly I still can’t run more than about 3 steps. Does anyone have any tips for a more speedy recovery ? I’m going to get some medicated patches called “shipu” tonight. The cool ones are supposed to be better for sport injuries, it seems.

Paul, Joe L and I ran tonight and we finally broke the 10K barrier. In fact 15K was run in the (not so stellar) time of 1hr 54 mins 48 secs But hey the only way is up from here. So I guess we’re all tried now but very happy.

Another 10K with Ed. A somewhat respectable time (for me at least) 54:02:92. I was hoping to run 15K today but ran out of ATP (Adenosine tri-phosphate) and could only make it a 10K again.
So I think I’m going to work up to 15K starting Monday. The plan is run 10K take a rest for a say 5 mins and then run 5K more. I’m going to give that a try at least.
