I believe we have a little less than 16 weeks to the big day. Its time to dust off the training plans I would say. Not to mention time to start planning your races for next year.

I ran from the office to Roppongi and back again last night and must admit that I got a few strange looks from the revellers as I ambled past them at 10pm. But it was a very enjoyable run and it sure beat the monitory of the palace loop.
I’ve decided to run get off the run as fast as you can treadmill in order to save my knees for a few more years but also see more of this Metropolis that we call home in 2008 and what better way to do it than to run it.
Yes I’m looking forward to some long runs in 2008.
Just a minor post really but it seems that the Ultramarathon man was / is / will be in Japan.
I guess we need to purchase the magazine for more details.
Its a full Marathon around one of the lakes on Mount Fuji on Nov 25th.
The are various other race options and the application deadline is Oct 10th. So is anyone interested ?

Just checking in to say it was a very enjoyable Marathon and I hope its the first of many more. But in truth I think I’ll be lucky if I manage a slow 5K later in the week. By the way I think I’ve discovered the perfect marathon food : Snickers ! As they’re small light and very calorie dense ! I had 2 of these during the run and they really helped to keep me on track.
Lastly my watch says 5:03:18 for Sundays run however I haven’t checked my official time yet. I’ll need to look that up at home tonight.
I’ve just checked and registration is still open for the Nagano Marathon (actually until Feb 28th). I must admit I’m very tempted to apply. I may wait until after the 18th thou’. Is anyone else interested ? It takes place in Sunday April 15th, nearly 2 months after our big day at Tokyo Big Sight !
