Glucosamine

9 01 2007

I read somewhere about how taking the Glucosamine supplment can help with ligament problems. I found some in the local pharmacists vitamin supplments made by a company called “nature made”. It may help with torn knees but have a quick rummage through the internet for information first.

A few days before christmas my london based boss told me that he is going to reshuffle the team around in Asia. I opted to take redundancy over moving to Singapore. So this year means I also have to run around looking for another job. Anyone hear of any openings in market data, IT systems consulting, project management or Systems auditing, please give me a shout.

Blue

25 12 2006

I have a printout of the Hal Higdons marathon training schedule affixed to the side of my desk. It stands prominent and pride of place approximately half a metre from my eyes.  The schedule is made up of boxes which represent a day. Inside the box is written the number of miles I should run. For everyday I run, I paint the box red. For every day I rest I paint the box blue.

At the moment the schedule is very very blue. In fact it is totally blue for the last 6 bloody weeks. Absolutely bugger all running done. i should be at the stage of running 16 miles (27 km) on Saturday. I dont have excuses just memories of chest infection, exams and plain ordinarily idleness.

What can I do ? Any advise would be greatfully received.

the exam is now over. The chest infection is gone

but

to celebrate I drank loads of wine, followed by hangover, followed by another blasted cold !! So the 20km run on Sunday didnt materialise.

oh dear

My training has gone to pot. Having suffered from a chest infection since coming back from Hong Kong I have gone two/three weeks without exercise or running a single metre. That is, apart from running for the bus.

The problem is timing. Although the chest problem is about cured, I have to concerntrate on an exam this saturday morning.

But I will gear up for a 20km run on SUnday just for the hell of it

A happy camper

4 12 2006

Not a post of any great importance but its just the first time I’ve broken 50 minutes for 10K and I’m a tired but happy camper. My time was a humble 49 mins 48 seconds and 653 calories were burned.

a good day

Am pretty pleased with myself. Yesterday did 16km – made up of 10km run, 2,5 km walk then 3.5 run. Then later in the evening ran another 5km in just under 30 minutes.

But today I have a damn cold
