 Stephen Owen pointed out that it is cold in Tokyo and that I should consider getting some cold weather gear&#8230;  Anyone have any suggestions on what you need, in particular:

gloves?
long running pants (do they need to be water proof)?
long T-shirt?
water proof jacket?
